The Deaf Community and the Church
One of the language groups engaging in ONE is a local American Sign Language (ASL) community. The Deaf community is one of the most unreached people groups in the world, so we wanted to take a moment and celebrate this dynamic partnership!
ONE KC Local Update
Unity is the heartbeat behind ONE. We are praying that the Church of Kansas City acts as one body and one Spirit, together committed to one God and Father of all (Ephesians 4:5-6). And what better way to pursue unity than through the unifying Word of God?
ONE KC Prays
When Matthew recorded the words “I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for…” from Jesus, the word he used for “agree” in ancient Greek means, literally, “to symphonize.” When we pray TOGETHER, with agreement our prayer sounds like a beautiful, in-tune, powerful symphony to God the Father!
ONE 2021: A GLOBAL INITIATIVE
ONE 2021 began with the vision of having 6 cities engage in the initiative. Right from the beginning, this vision seemed big...but we had no idea.
Today, we stand in awe as we testify that God has tripled the original vision, not by our power or initiative but by His! Cities that have said “yes” span North America, Africa, and Asia.
ONE KC Launches THIS YEAR!
Nearly 150 churches in the Kansas City metro area have already committed to locking arms with thousands of churches around the globe for the ONE experience! It’s an amazing thought, isn’t it? The Church, rallying around our true identity in Christ as ONE church...brining the good news of the gospel of Jesus to millions of people!

Extraordinary Bethlehem
Bethlehem was not just an ordinary small town…it was insignificant. Despite the fact that Israel’s greatest king, David hailed from Bethlehem, nobody expected much from this place, making it the perfect location for the most extraordinary person to begin life on earth!
An Extraordinary Ride
The donkey serves as a reminder of our utter depravity (uncleanness) and redemption. In other words, we are never beyond God’s reach!
With this extraordinary historical reference, it’s certainly an interesting idea to consider this less than ordinary animal transporting Mary and her unborn son, Jesus, the Lamb of God, to Bethlehem.
