ONE in Kansas City
“Thank you for bringing the great vision [of ONE KC] in churches. Our church’s many believers are using the Bible.is app and they are very blessed reading the Bible in their language” Pastor Reuben Diyali, Bhutanese Nepali church of Kansas .
This is just one pastor’s testimony of how the ONE KC initiative has impacted him and his congregation.
Pastor Reuben Diyali faces the unique challenge of pastoring a Bhutanese/Nepali-speaking church in an English-speaking country. The ONE KC initiative has been a special and unique experience for his community which is accustomed to engaging through their second (or third or fourth) language, English, daily. The opportunity to watch and listen to the Gospels in their OWN heart language has felt more like a wonderful balm to a parched soul.
Gospel Saturation in Kansas City
Throughout the ONE initiative, ONE foundational truth emerged: the Word of God IS enough and it sets captives free. Recently, a donor contributed 30,000 pocket New Testaments to the ONE Initiative to aid the continued effort of saturating Kansas City in Scripture Engagement. The donor personally found Christ by reading the New Testament and longs for others to have the same opportunity to know Jesus by receiving a Bible of their own.
Moving forward as ONE
It’s hard to believe this week people all over the world will finish the listening plan, and on Sunday, we’ll celebrate the resurrection of our Savior! As we take a look back at this incredibly special season let’s be sure to celebrate all that the Lord has done!
Brothers and sisters have joined the Kingdom of God
Many have taken the step towards baptism
Churches are uniting across Kansas City (and around the world!) to encourage and support one another.
Indeed, ONE has brough MUCH good fruit to our city, and yet, much work remains! Many in Kansas City still do not know Jesus as their Savior. Many believers and unbelievers go throughout their days without encountering life-changing Scripture. Tensions still exist across various racial and economic demographics. Let’s stay in the fight together, and re-claim this city and this land for Jesus!
What’s next? We must continue as ONE. We must be willing to reach beyond our traditional church walls to reach our city as a united front. What if the Church hopes you will learn about upcoming initiatives you can engage with and tackle tough issues and bring hope to our city. In the coming weeks we’ll share more, so stay tuned! God is on the move!
