The current cultural climate has taken a toll on marriages, families, and friendships. Differences have been highlighted and unity has been disrupted. Now is the time to equip yourself to be Fit to Fight for the Family

This summer, Macedonia Baptist Church, Westside Family Church, and Unite KC (a new local faith-based non-profit dedicated to racial healing in Kansas City) are collaborating with nationally recognized relationship experts, Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott, on a new marriage and relationship initiative called “Fit to Fight for the Family.” Pastors John Brooks and Randy Frazee both identified this huge felt need in their church communities and decided this was an important initiative for their churches to do together, simultaneously building a stronger bond between the racially diverse church leaders and communities.

Recognizing a universal need for healthier relationships across all demographics, Unite KC sees a big opportunity for Kansas City churches to step in and make a real and lasting difference and hopes other churches will follow Macedonia and Westside’s example.

Churches who are interested in adopting Fit to Fight for the Family can choose to do the sermon series at a time that makes sense for them in 2021. Resources available to participating churches include:

  • Relationship Assessments resources created by relationship experts Les and Leslie Parrott, for people in all different life and relationship situations. Assessments will help each individual understand their personality, communication style and more.

  • An aggregate report of the assessments so your church leadership can understand how people are doing and better minister to their holistic community needs.

  • Sermon message series you may choose to adopt – or create your own!

  • Small Group curriculum by Les and Leslie Parrott
