Pray KC is a multiethnic, multigenerational, and multi-denominational citywide movement of prayer for spiritual awakening in Kansas City. There is more to the organization, but in short, we believe God for a fresh wind of his Spirit in these early days of this decade, and our great hope is that Kansas City becomes fully alive in Christ. 

What if more than 3,000 small groups around the city (on average, 10 per church), representing 10 people each, committed to å daily reading and/or listening journey of the word of God? How could that change our city?

The nations have arrived in Kansas City. Who we once deemed the foreigner has become our neighbor, our coworker, our friend.

The mosaic of stories that create American history is covered in tears and laced with joys. Our flag has been tattered by wars and injustice, and lifted high in celebration of innovation, freedom, growth, and forgiveness. In the midst of it all, the meaning of our Independence Day has grown in depth and width as the years have progressed.

Perhaps you feel like life is starting to look a little more “normal.” Maybe you have returned to the office, resumed eating out and other summer activities. For many others in our city, life continues to be disrupted in extraordinary ways. For them, community partners and food pantries continue to be a major lifeline. This week we wanted to share what this collective partnership means to those benefitting, in their own words.
